Ambassador’s Awards for Siberian Orphans Related Perons and Organizations 2024

On July 2, 2024, in Warsaw Ambassador Akio Miyajima of the Embassy of Japan in Poland presented the Japanese Ambassador’s Diploma for cultivating the memory of the Siberian Children.
Persons and organizations that received this extraordinary award are as follows;。

The Special School and Educational Complex in Wejherowo
The Special School and Educational Complex named after Colonel Jerzy Strzałkowski in Leszno
Primary School named after Siberian Children in Stara Wieś

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the above institutions and their accompanying persons, as well as by the families of the Siberian Children which made the event really lively.

In May 2024, most of the guests visited Japan during the trip followed in the footsteps of the Siberian Children. That is why the ceremony was full of the shared memories, and they even shared their impressions and conveyed their thanks to the Japanese to Ambassador Miyajima for the warm welcome they received in Japan.

The day was blessed with nice weather, and one of the descendants seemed to be deep in thought, reflecting on the stories his father had told him about visits to the Ambassador’s Residence drawing his lifetime.

The event demonstrated how the Siberian Children story from100 years ago has connected people and institutions that had nothing in common previously and how these bonds become stronger with each event.
