Japanese Culture Day in Leszno 2025

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the annual Japanese Culture Day was held at The Special School and Educational Complex named after Colonel Jerzy Strzałkowski near Warsaw in Leszno.

The event began with the national anthems of Poland and Japan, followed by speeches from guests, student performances, and a presentation on the school’s history. The West Warsaw District, where the school is located, signed a cooperation agreement this year with the Japanese city of Tsuruga – a topic that was also mentioned during the speeches.

The venue was beautifully decorated with cherry blossom flowers, and the school staff welcomed guests dressed in yukata, creating a warm atmosphere that allowed participants to experience Japanese culture up close in Poland. This annual event, which gathers many descendants and affiliates of the Siberian Children, also serves as a valuable opportunity for the community to reconnect and strengthen their bonds.
