Polish poet won an award at The 2nd Basho-an International English Haiku Competition
Polish poet Mr. Adam Kajzer won the Basho-an Award at The 2nd Basho-an International English Haiku Competition organized by Koto-ku Culture and Community Foundation and Basho Museum.

gentle lullaby rising
from the refugee tent
初めての星降る夜
やさしい子守唄が立ちのぼる
難民のテントから

Mr. Kajzer, who lives in Gdansk, wrote this haiku inspired by the history of Siberian Children who arrived in Gdansk via Japan.
