the 7th Anniversary Naming Ceremony of the Siberian Children Memorial Primary School

On 20 November 2025, the 7th Anniversary Naming Ceremony was held at the Siberian Children Memorial Primary School.

The ceremony, which takes place annually on 20 November to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations General Assembly on 20 November 1989, serves as an opportunity to reflect on the history of the Siberian Children and to present performances related to Japan and Poland.

The ceremony began with the singing of the Polish national anthem, the Japanese national anthem, and the school anthem. This was followed by performances by kindergarten and primary school children, as well as a kendo demonstration. Five individuals who have contributed to the school were also honored during the event.
At the end of the ceremony, a time was set aside for guests to freely deliver congratulatory remarks. Among those who spoke were Mr. Witold Kwiatkowski, the head of Celestynów County, as well as representatives connected to the Siberian Children.

The event was warm and heartfelt, bringing together numerous guests, including three descendants of the Siberian Children, related organizations, school supporters, and alumni.
