You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless maintaining the data is necessary to ensure freedom of speech, freedom of access to information, fulfillment of an obligation under the law, due to public interest, in order to report or defend against claims or in to exercise rights under the law.

If you have declared the right to rectification, deletion or limitation of data processing, we will notify all recipients of your personal data about the method of rectification, deletion or imposition of restrictions on the processing of this data, unless it is impossible to carry out or involves disproportionate effort.

If you send us an application for the exercise of a given right, a response to the application will be provided within one month of its receipt. If it is necessary to extend this period, we will inform you of the reasons for such extension.

The response to your request will be provided to the e-mail address from which you will send the request, and in the case of requests sent by letter, by regular mail to the address you indicate, unless the content of the letter indicates the desire to receive feedback to the e-mail address (in in this case, please provide an e-mail address).

Jetpack

We use the Jetpack tool to analyse visits to the website. Jetpack is developed and operated by Automattic Inc. – a company based in the United States (San Francisco). Analytical events (page views, clicks) are handled by Automattic’s own system. The tool is used to create aggregate statistics on website traffic. Technical data made available by browsers, devices and servers are collected, including: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, language preferences, referring page, date and time of access, operating system and mobile network information. The approximate location of the visitor may be determined on the basis of the IP address.

The data is transferred outside the EEA, to the USA, because Automattic is based there. The transfer is based on the mechanisms provided for in the GDPR for third countries. Automattic is on the list of participants of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), an adequacy decision in force since 10 July 2023, and additionally the transfer may be secured by standard contractual clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission.

For what purpose do we process your data?

We process your personal data in order to provide electronic services in the field of providing you with the content collected on the website https://siberianchildren.pl/, as well as for analytical and statistical purposes.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is:

in order to provide electronic services in the scope of providing you with the content presented on our website – then the legal basis for processing is the necessity of processing to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR);

The Fukudenkai Social Welfare Center has its registered office in Japan, which means that your personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area – in Japan. The basis for the transfer of data is Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/419 of January 23, 2019 based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, stating the adequate level of personal data protection by Japan under the Personal Information Protection Act, according to which Japan ensures an adequate level of protection of personal data in the case of the transfer in question.

To protect our website and ensure user safety against spam and unauthorized activity, we use the reCAPTCHA service, provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This service may collect device and user behavior data for risk assessment purposes. By using this website, you consent to the use of the reCAPTCHA mechanism and accept the Google privacy policy and terms of service, links to which are provided on our website. Part III. Data processing in connection with informational activities concerning our operations

Below we present the rules for the processing of personal data that apply when we carry out informational activities concerning our operations, in particular when you consent to receiving information about our activities – events organised by us, lectures or our other plans. These rules also apply in cases where we contact you in order to maintain our mutual relationship, which is connected with the fulfilment of our statutory purpose of operation.

In some cases, we may also contact you if we believe that you may be interested in our activities.

Remember that for the purposes described in this point we may process your personal data such as first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, but also correspondence address. In particular, information about planned events, as well as occasional wishes and other communication related to our operations, may be sent to you by traditional mail.

We process your personal data in order to inform you about our actions. As the Fukudenkai Center, we undertake numerous initiatives to commemorate the Siberian Children, as well as to integrate the community of descendants of these persons, as well as all persons who are interested in the fate of these persons. For this reason, if you consent to it, we will remain in contact with you and inform you about our plans and initiatives, including events organised by us; we may also send you occasional cards. Remember that we will send you this information provided that you have consented to receiving it.

Additionally, in some cases we may contact you on our own initiative, if we consider that what we do may have real value for you and we believe that you may be interested in our activities.

Below we present the rules for the processing of personal data that apply when you decide to take part in an event that we organise – this may be a meeting, lecture, conference or another event that is connected with the actions we carry out.

During the meeting we may additionally ask you for consent to contact you for informational purposes – in this respect we process your personal data in accordance with point III above.

For what purpose do we process your data?

We process your personal data in order to enable you to take part in our event, in accordance with its program.

On what legal basis do we process your data?

We will process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Performance of the contract concluded between us, concerning ensuring your participation in our event (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR);

Part V. Data processing as part of marketing activities

Below we present the principles of personal data processing that apply when you use and communicate with us using our profiles on social networking sites – including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn (referred to as „fanpages” or „profiles”). On our fanpages, we publish and share content and materials promoting our activities on an ongoing basis.

For what purpose is your data processed?

We process your data only in connection with maintaining our profiles in social media, including to inform you about our activity and to promote various types of events and services, as well as to communicate with you via the functionalities available in social media.

Remember that social network administrators record your activity using cookies and other similar technologies every time you interact with our fan pages and other LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram websites. Fan page administrators have access to general statistics about your (as a fan page visitor) interests and demographic data (such as age, gender, region). As part of using social networking sites, the scope and purposes of data processing in social networking sites have been defined by the administrators of these sites.

On what legal basis do we process your data?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is:

our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) consisting in promoting our own brand and building and maintaining a community associated with the brand, responding to your inquiry;
